ST. PETERSBURG, FL – St. Petersburg Police are reiterating last week’s request not to spread school threats on social media.
"Once again we are receiving calls from concerned parents about a Snapchat from another state being circulated here," police spokeswoman Yolanda Fernandez said.
St. Petersburg Police detectives has confirmed that the Snapchat post is from a Northeast High School in Maryland, not St. Petersburg, she said. They also learned that the student who posted it has been arrested.
"There is no threat to Northeast High in St.
Petersburg," Fernandez said. "But to reassure students and parents, we will have some extra police presence on campus in this morning."
